| Founded
in 1964 by Mr. Maurice MARLE, the company started with the production
of stamped blanks for scissors, knives and hand tools. |

1984, the Company turned towards more sophisticated production
and signed a contract of laboratory Research and Development and Assistance
with the C.R.I.T.T. , surface treatments at Charleville-Mézières.
The perfecting of a manufacturing process enabled dimensional tolerances
to be considerably improved and part of the machining operations to
be eliminated. |

1989, the Quality Assurance System ISO 9002 began to be put in
place. |

| From
1990, the continuing investment and development programme involved
the setting up of a research department including CAD (Computer Aided
Design) and Computer Aided Production Design. These enable the production
deadlines for tools to be improved, and systems of reference to be
obtained which contribute to the improvement in quality and traceability
of the product. |

2001, HMP becomes wholly-owned subsidiary of Ets Marle. |
